A team of professionals and educationists have built an educational philosophy – for primary to high school children – that is holistic and rigorous. Out of the brainstorming was born DriveChange Learning & Resource Centre (DLRC). DLRC is a Neighborhood Learning & Resource Centre based in Baner,Pune,India co-founded by Ajay Dalmia,Pavan Iyengar,Mona Dalmia . DLRC, with a maximum capacity for 12-15 children per age group per facilitator offers full-time learning programs for children aged 7 to 18 years and workshops ,courses , Programs (including online) for all ages including 'Orientation to Learn' courses for Teachers.
DLRC's Offerings are 1.Full time programs (for young adults) in three learning groups– A full-time schooling program. NCERT, NIOS and Cambridge Syllabus mapped to Projects. Learning comes to life through facilitated Peer2Peer and Experiential approach. Children have the option to choose between NIOS and Cambridge boards for their Grade 10 & Grade 12 certificates.
2.After-School & Weekend enrichment workshops in Language, Arts, Maths & Science –These cross-disciplinary hands-on workshops are designed to provide life skills (such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, imagine & ideate, lateral thinking & others) and enrichment opportunities through facilitated Peer2Peer and Experiential approach.
3. Career Guidance to young adults - Our Career Counseling service includes the following:
Multiple Natures Test - A personality assessment test, based on the Multiple Intelligences and Multiple Natures frameworks, that helps individuals understand their unique abilities.The test consists of 76 self rating questions.
Two Counseling Sessions (one hour each) - The goals of the counseling session are:
Provide analysis of the Multiple Natures report
Understand the areas of convergence and divergence between your interests and the report
Discuss the suggested careers and narrow down to a handful
Identify the subjects and activities that will build competencies to support the chosen careers
Start building the Career Roadmap, by filling in as much of the available information, into 6 categories (Subjects, Projects, Internship, Mentors, Extracurricular Activities & Self-Study Plan). Career Roadmap would be a living document that will be constantly reviewed/updated and will facilitate decision making.
