We are comfortable with our bodies, why not use them to learn in class!
Being comfortable with our bodies and learning together in an involved manner is uber effective. What is does is gets the context towards thinking and listening actively as the mind is freer. The learners can also 'feel' the concepts. Alas there lies the danger of super simplification and loss of rigor. Thats where conceptual inquiry by the facilitators as a check before deploying these wonderful machines of nature (read: human bodies) is crucial.
The concept being discussed below or being acted below is that of Resolving Forces in their components (one horizontal and the other vertical). When the forces are parallel to each other and in opposite directions , they 'cancel' each other. When they are angled , their horizontal components cancel and their vertical components actually add up. This is felt by the student being pulled towards the centre of the earth! Ouch ....Truly 'feeling' the concept.
